Drat! I really really thought I had already covered all the fun and weird Lego stuff on the ‘net – but obviously I was wrong. Not only have the little men built a computer, smoked illegal substances, stared in various movies, constructed some of M.C.Escher’s pictures, but they’ve also:
- Re-enacted the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, The Gospels, Acts and the Epistles Of Paul are online)
- had made for them a copy of the Star Ship Enterprise (from Star Trek)
- and, if they don’t like travelling in that, they could travel using the LegWay (a ‘clone’ of the infamous Segway Human Transporter).
- They’ve also been built into figures of Dilbert and Co and Rhodin’s Thinker
- who could all go worship in the Lego church or work in the GAT’s office building
- whilst looking at various mosaics of the Eiffel Tower, Calista Flockhart or many others.
- Of course, once their got board of playing their Lego harpsichord, they could also got back to the movie business and
- Star in a Flash list of ways Lego Mini-figs could die (there is also a very vivid picture of a Lego minifig’s head with blood),
- a movie called “Rick and Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in All the World” (I haven’t been able to watch it yet myself so…)
- and also star in Block Structure Porn (by the same drew that has a column in .net magazine).
- Failing all that, they could raise controversial issues by being featured in several concentration camp pictures
- and end up cryogenically frozen inside a mouse
Oh, there’s also a collection of various Brickshelf pictures out there as well (the Lord Of The Rings tribute is good!). Don’t forget, if you want to start building you own Lego models (maybe using the LDraw format), you can order Lego via Amazon.co.uk or, if you are after specific blocks, then BrickLink could be your friend….
Now I’ll try and avoid mentioning the L— word until at least next year 🙂
