I need help in level 8. Can’t get the chess moves.

I am stuck on the green wall on level 12 and i am about to give up (and im not usually the type to do that!) Can anyone give me some useful tips or help!!??
Grr!! I’m in the room with the code on level 12. I have security card, screwdriver, and key.
I found the code which is 23122113. i went to the room with the lazer, the lamp is switched off. I put the code in and yet nothing happened.i typed the code once and clicked ‘e’ but nothing 🙁

im at level 9…
i figured out that at the computer, after entering “quest”, there will be letters, then CLICK THE DOOR with the black thing connected to it, then there will be more letters. I had D, E, R… red. Now i passed that and am at the room where there is a green machine type thing, i click it, and go right twice to a hallway with a lot of doors, i have gone in all of them at least twice, and have not yet figured out what to do!!! Somebody help me!

Level 7 – Done everything, but don’t know how to mix the colours. Followed instructions and nothing happens, should I be doing something? Please help!!!!

hey i finished the game woohoo
I’m stuck on level 12. The green wall is driving me crazy best I can do is turn all green except 8 squares.
When I got to the laser room I took the panels off of the second computer board using the screw driver but am stuck.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

guys i cut the red wire on level 12, and now i cant see anything, how do i find the lamp?
i got the key for the 12th level and got through everything but the key wont work on the last door!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF AM I DOING WRONG!!!!!!!!!
I kept reading above how everyone had the letters to the word “EAST”. I got letters to the word “WEST”!
HHEELLPPPPPP…. after i type “quest” i got letter D – A – E – H!!! after reading this note i see everyone get “seat” or other words “cant remember…. please help me out here.. im stuck here…. thanks will check again later… good day..

i am on level 12, when i try n look for the code on the wall where the lamp switch is i cant see the code clear so i dont no wot it is. is there any way of cing the numbers more clearly

Great game! I just finished it. Here are some things that helped me…
The weird rat-head thing: to get past this level you have to set the diskette box over the rat hole in the first room with the stairs. Then go into the next room,and turn off the light. Take the loose wall tiles. Then fiddle with the carpet pieces on the floor. The rat-head-thing will follow the lines on the floor so set up the carpet so that it connects a rat hole on the right side of the room to the rat hole on the left side. The rat will follow it into the next room and then you just pick up the box. Then fiddle around with the bridge along the sides (and I think near the top) and it will raise up. Then put the wall tiles into the slots and shift them around until they line up all the way across. Then stick the rat thing in the side where that doo-dad is and it will unlock the door. Then pull the chair over so that you can pull down the bridge.
Computer codes: the first one is QUEST of course. Then you’ll see a room with two letters, and clicking on the door will show you a room with two more letters. Unscramble them to make a word. Input that into the computer and your door will open. P.S. everybody’s letters are different.
Last Hallway Laser level 12: You can’t disable the last laser in the hallway. You have to go upstairs and go over it. You have to go up on the ladder in the last room with the machine.
The Green Wall: You don’t actually have to light up all the lights. Start at the farmostleft or right side, and light up the whole vertical row, then fill in the next row over. That will make other lights turn off, but if you keep making sure that all lights in each row go on from one side to another, then eventually you will get to the end. The last row doesn’t have to be lit up entirely.
Hidden Ladder Level 12: In the farthest room that you can get to before the last laser thing, fiddle around with the wall to the left of the machine. It will open up and give you a ladder.
The Code in 12: If you’re having a hard time entering your code in the last room with the red wall and door, try writing it both backwards and forwards. Also, leave the room if you’ve already tried your code and it didn’t work, then go back and do it again. This gives you a clean slate. P.S. Don’t input a code that somebody else told you would work. Every player gets a different code on the wall with the lamp. The code will work if you get it from that wall. Then after you disable the red laser thing, if you haven’t found the key yet, go back upstairs to the lamp room. You have to straighten out the carpet, then pull the chair underneath the ceiling light. Then fiddle with the ceiling light and you’ll find the key to get out the last door.
Great game, i agree with judy above. Her comments were some difficult events. In addition to the crazy codepad in level 5(?). Some of the buttons are really logical, but some you have to just try and fail… The whole game took me about 6 hours. Great fun!
To jimbob over here, Try putting a bulb into the lamp…. Or adjust your screen or glasses….

Okay… I’m on level 12. Just to let anyone know…. you can get past the green wall by following the directions on http://www.angelfire.com/ill/motaswalkthroughs/level12.htm. But, for anyone who’s finished help! I guess I used the screwdriver on the second machine first and my screwdriver is gone now. I used the wire cutters, but it just cut off the power to the whole basement. What now? I need another screwdriver!! Anyone??

i’m at the very end, at the teleporter. but i cant get the colors to mix rite!!!
for some reason the blue dusnt werk. i keep clicking on it, but purple just dusnt show up. the only colors i can get is yellow and cyan. i even restarted the game but wen i got into the teleporter room the teleporter weel was YELLOW. i cant get it to be PURPLE. IT DUSNT WERK. is something wrong with wut im doing?
hmm. still having problems with l8 at the the teleporter room. the colours refuse to mix and i keep receiving ” wrong colour mixture” notices, when i know they’re right.
is it just a case of luck?

A few people seem to have a problem with pool table: you need the coin, the chalk and the white ball to be able to push the red and blue balls into the holes. Just keep trying, there is plenty of coins in the chest.
Teleporter mix: I had problem mixing colours, too. I just kept clicking and swapping purple, cyan and yellow until withou apparent reason it worked.
Level 12. I cant see the numbers on the wall AT all, any help plz?
Nevermind that, figured you gotta turn the big light off first lol

okay so i have the key and i’ve got past the lasers on level 12, and it says the key doesn’t open the door. shall i just assume i’ve finished it and it’s a glitch? or look for another key?

All the past comments have really helped but I’m still not clear on level 12, the 123E part. Call me crazy, but where *exactly* do you put the code in? On your keyboard or what? My code is “12331213”. Much confusion over here…please help!

Stuck in lvl 9, the room with the blown fuse. what do I have to do? can I open the cupboard? Can I open a door ar a locker in the roofm with the alien? where ist the computer to enter somethinhg the other people are talking about?
on level 12, to get past the red wall, try hitting e, then your code, then e again. hope that works =)

For all you who have trouble with the key on the last door on level 12: You cant go though the door (key isnt working) if you havent found the screwdriver in the cabinet in the last control-room. Annoying but true.. took me about 2 hours to find that one out.

good heavens!!!it took me all afternoon to finish this stuff! glad ur all here to help! i did a little tweaking on the green wall and on finding the key that helps you find the real key to the last door for level 12. great stuff here men! i did enjoy it, looking forward to the neXt level!!!
i was juz using an internet connection from the office and all my colleagues already went home, but it’s really worth it! fantastic game! goodluck to you all!!!
On level 12 in the room with the last red laser wall where you have to enter your unique 123E code: just click in your code on those square numbered panels and then press E (E for Enter, I guess). It isn’t really obvious that it’s being entered because it won’t text anything on the bottom of your screen. When you click it in correctly the laser wall will fade away and then you can use your key to open the door.

For people having trouble with the color transporter on level 7. Click green, red, blue, green, red, blue. This will turn all wheels grey now enter transporter.
