It seems there has been an additional level added to the Mystery of Time and Space adventure game that I provided the solution to back in November.
So, for all those people who are coming here looking for either the MOTAS solution, here are some hints and tips (mostly taken off the MOTAS forum) – complete with level walkthroughs/walkthrus – for MOTAS levels 1 to 4. Levels 5 to 8 are now available.
Starting off:
General hints
When you begin your quest you find yourself in a locked bedroom.
The object of the game is to escape from that building as soon as possible. But some of the doors are locked.
Use objects to help you find your way through countless rooms filled with mystery. Use your pointer to click on the screen and carefully read the feedback.
At some points you will get objects you can use. Click on an object from your inventory (top of screen) and then click on the screen to indicate where to use it. The interactive pointer indicates which object you are holding.
Most of the times an area where you could use an item your pointer will change into a hand to indicate interactivity. Walking feet indicate a way you can move to another location and a magnifying glass indicates you can take a closer view.
Hints for Level 1
- The door is locked, can you see the key?
- What was irritating my head all night?
- What should I do with the Girl?

- When you enter, be right on top of things.
- Be sharp to get the computer to boot.

Hints for Level 3
- Sometimes you see things better when it’s dark.
- Hide your ugly head under the stairs.
- Make sure it all lines up.

- Sing out loud: ‘Relight my fire …’
- I suppose you’ve played jigsaw puzzle as a kid …
- Once things are removed, they can be replaced, but it will never be the same again…

I managed to find myself at blog.beebware.com instead of blog.rac.me.uk, and I was confronted by a lot of unsightly “leeching from this site has been blocked” images. Perhaps you should make a way for beebware.com to use images from beebware.co.uk?

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I DO THE DOOR STILL WON’T UNLOCK.I PUT THE PIECES IN BUT IT WILL NOT WORK.CAN YOU TELL ME EVERY STEP TO LEVEL 4.I TRIED PUTTING THE TRIANGULAR PIECES UNDER THE LASER AGAIN BUT IT’S NOT WORKIN SO CAN YOU HELP ME.

Ok, So I am at the 9th level in this game! and well i cant get anywhere! I came on here to see but I cant find anthing past the 8th level! is there a site or something I can go to to figure out how to get out of this level???

How do you get the pin to open the diskette box on leve 2? do you drag it over or what? Someone help please!!!!
Does anybody have any hints for lvl. 9? i need help…
For lv nine the word you need to type to open the door is “Quest”. i found this by using the key in the cupboard in that room to open the cupboard outside
Try mixing up the letters that you found. It creates a word that opens the door.
When you give the solution for the level with the keypad, you say that you don’t know the reason for the answer 1101. the reason is that every other combination of numbers has two 1’s and two 0’s. 1101 has three 1’s and one 0.

I put the trigangle pieces under the cutter, but they won’t cut, any solutions?
For imsoconfused, you need to form an anagram of the letters you see in the game on that pc.
Josh, The triangle can be rebuilt in more than one way.

Hey i need help! i am in level 12 and at the room with the numbers 123E on the wall. My numbers in the room with the lamp were 332(up to down) and i clicked on those numbers in order following the E but nothing happens.. what am i doing wrong???

after u type in quest on the computer in level nine, there are letters in a mini game on teh computer these are S,T,E,and A. i tried typing those in in many different orders, and none of them work. help

Kash the blocks get u into the basement where the key fell to i don’t know the con figuration but you’ll get it
for lvl 9 u type in quest then it will give u a mock of lvl 1 and 2 in which there are letters that make a word type it in and hit enter on the little keyboard

The green wall on level 12 is a pain. I just kept messing with it until I got it — 340+ clicks. 🙂
I’ve made it to the hallway with the lasers, but can’t make more than the first one turn off. AARGH!
so the tricky green wall…. only took me a couple of minutes…. seems that you don’t need to turn every single tile green, just all but about the last 4… my tip is to start on one corner, say top left. then click each tile down vertically, then the next column and so on until they’re nearly all green… you may need to experiement with the last few…

For help with the level 4 problem where the machine wont cut the triangle into pieces…turn the lamp in the middle room off and try the machine again.
