Guess That Movie: XLI: Kind Hearts and Coronets

[Guess That Movie image 41]Kymberlie, again, Starship Troopers amazoncom:B0000648WZ [Order from Amazon.co.uk] correct, Richy again astonished!

Ok, now I’ll try and make a bit of sense and form sentences – but I don’t know why I bother with Kymberlie being a big stalking type thing and stalking down the correct answers to Guess That Movie images before the ink’s dry on my piece of notepaper.

I’m going out tomorrow night, so let’s just hope this black and white capture from a moving picture will mean you’ll be guessing round 41 for some time to come…. If it’s any help, I decided on this image by watching some thing about the Academy Awards ceremony and then Googling for the movie name to find an image (instead of taking it myself).

Have fun and good luck! “At the beep, please leave your name, email address and a short message with the name of the movie you are guessing at and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.” Beeep.

“Leicestershire, home for many centuries to a dreadful dynasty of vicious blogging entities – the bloggers of Leicester.
Legend has it that these sexy beings can be destroyed by an arrow through the heart or expose to true love,
This does not suffice however, for they may be brought back to life by means of a secret rite that can be performed once a century when the moon is in the eighth house of Gemini.
The latest reincarnation did not run according to plan.

In the heart of Leicestershire,
In the Leicester Hall of Fame-yea,
There’s not a blogger zanier than….
RICHY C!

If you’re looking for some fun,
You can always count upon,
Come and find the one they call..
Richy C!”

(No, you get no extra points for recognising the childrens cartoon – I just want to relive my missing childhood 😀 )

  1. Nope, it’s not Pinnochio.

If it’s any help, the main actor in this film played multiple characters (think in the style of Eddie Murphy’s “The Clumps”)

  2. Nope. Keep guessing 😀

If it helps, the main actor played 8 different characters in this movie and the title of the movie dates back to a poem written between 1840 and 1850 (roughly 100 years before the movie was made)…

    Hard one innit? 😉

  3. Dr G Dr G

Man Of A Thousand Faces? (Plus I still only have 60 points!) 🙁

  4. Nope, it wasn’t the James Cagney film “Man Of A Thousand Faces” – you’re in the wrong decade (1950’s instead of 1940’s) and it doesn’t appear that the same actor didn’t play multiple people.

  5. Sorry, it isn’t the Peter Sellers movie “The Mouse That Roared” either (Peter only plays 3 characters in that movie) – although I might have to mark that one as one to go on my “to watch list”: a movie with Peter Sellers, Leo McKern (“number 2” from “The Prisoner” amongst other things) and William Hartnell (the original Dr.Who) can’t be bad can it?

You’ve got the right year though, and it was a British Film (the film the screenshot was taken from was filmed at Ealing) and in Kent…

  6. Do watch it, Richy. It’s a while since I saw it, but I remember it being good fun.
