Hmm, I’m doing reasonable alright on Blogshares I think – I currently have a portfolio worth $2294.88 and just about the only “bad” decision I seem have made so far is buying shares in Neil’s World (as it’s currently running at just 0.86 P/E) – where as my “bulk buying” of shares in Revolving Duck and Rapunzel.org already seem to be paying off – and my own blog isn’t doing too bad either… Ciaran’s Journal is middle of the road with a profit/earnings ration of just 1.

Yes, I managed to “Richy Blogged” a site out of existence. Take that Slashdot – me mentioning a site on my blog caused it to disappear from the internet due to the load because of my loyal visitors!

Go me!

Or, Blogshares could just be suffering technical problems again 🙁

Guess That Movie: XLVII: Original Sin

[Guess That Movie 47]Wow, I didn’t think the previous image was so hard to guess: 5 incorrect guesses (and a few subtle hints from myself) before Kymberlie managed to recognise the fact that the image was taken from the 1997 movie “The Edge” [Order from Amazon.co.uk] amazoncom:000006IUQ . I’m surprised somebody else didn’t pick up the fact that the cannibal reference was in regard to “Anthony Hopkins” and the “cold cannibal” bit was because the film was set in Alaska and had now around the image of the log cabin…

Oh well, I’m not to reason why – I’m just here to post and laugh. Wait. Hang on – that isn’t right. Not to worry – maybe once I’ve totted up all the scores so far (which I’m planning on doing tonight), my brain will be in gear. In the meantime, however, see if you can recognise which movie this image was taken from. (I’m actually glad I double check them before posting: I had mislabelled the CD this movie is on!).

*snippet* Damn Murphy and his laws… Guess That Movie round 46 had just been guessed correctly by Kymberlie and I thought I’d capture the next image from a “live” television movie (ok, live as in it was coming down my aerial at that point). Unfortunately, I had dinner, came up stairs to my computer and waited for the ideal screenshot…

However, 5 minutes from the end of the movie is not a good time to try and get a good image – only one I managed to get would be waaayyy too obvious and hence I’m having to search my pre-recorded movies now to try and find an image.

Which Personality Disorder Do you have?I’ve justed taken the “Which Personality Disorder Do You Have?” which shows the “which of the ten primary personality disorders do you suffer from”.

According to it, I’m an ‘avoidant’ which means:

Poor baby. You’re so shy, that some of the pricks out there may mutter about your ‘retardedness’ behind your back. Yet, as pricky as they are, you just wish you could be their friend. You hunger for social relationships, yet the anxiety is too strong. Thus, you mostly hang out in your own head, and sink into deep depressions.

Well, I’m certainly shy, and tend to think of “people as just being there” (i.e. I’m not that fussed if I’ve got 1 friend or 100) but believe me – you wouldn’t want to hang out in my head – it’s scary in there! There’s this big grey jelly like mass which I swear is trying to take over my head – 23 years ago it was quite small but it’s grown so much it’s worrying….

Depression – well, there’s two quotes I’ve got a tendency to use. One was from the old BBC microcomputer game “Plan B” which, when you died, said “Oh well, such is a life” and Marvin from Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy’s “Life. Don’t talk to me about life.” – if they aren’t indicative that I’m naturally slightly depressive, well, I’m not sure what is…
