Neil/totalxsive just posted in his blog about the GeekTest. Well, according to the site, I’m 30% Geek, 30% Goth, 50% Internet Addict, 26% Emo, 29% Ska, 17% Metal Head and 28% Tortured Artist.

Make of it what you will, but as the site says “These tests ARE NOT SCIENTIFIC MEASUREMENTS”.

Game: Fly the Copter

There’s a fun little game on the website of SeeThru (a sort of ‘tie-in’ with the BBC 2 quite enjoyable, fun and interestingAttachments – see Digiguide information for a bit more info).

Anyways… in the Flash game, you have just got to Fly The Copter. Clicking and holding the left mouse button gives you elevation, not holding it leaves gravity to pull you down. I managed to score 839 – how about you?

By now you all may have heard of “Andy’s Computer” being built by Lego-men (see one of these mirrors for pictures of it being built). But what do the little people do on their days off? Smoke illegal substances of course! I’ve tried it twice, and believe me I think it’s overrated-Kid’s don’t both, it ain’t worth the cash.

Work: Updated to BIND 9

November 14th, 2002 by Richy B. No comments »

After a bit of prompting via this slashdot story (also on The Register) about the UNIX DNS server BIND having a vulnerability, I decided to upgrade from BIND 8.3.3 to BIND 9. Apart from having to re-build the named.conf configuration file, it needed very little work to get running again. I also took to opportunity to start using ACL (Access Control Lists) in the configuration file to make things easier to read and to cut down and repetition.

Blogging: totalxsive’s Blog

Neil, aka fellow dmoz editor totalxsive has linked to me here in his own blog!

And, yep, I’ve met Neil (and, believe me, that isn’t an experience I’m likely to forget!) – but I’m not sure about what he means by “he posts so many comments”. I’m only posting around 5 a day, just because I’ve got a lot to say on various subjects (mainly about spam at the moment unfortently 🙁 ), doesn’t make me a bad person does it? 🙂

Cheers Neil!
